Sick/Fit Notes

With measures such as social distancing and self isolation being put in place there are many more patients demanding fit notes/ Med3s. The current Government guidance for employers and businesses on coronavirus (covid-19) reiterates that medical evidence is not required for the first 7 days of sickness. It adds that after 7 days, employers may use their discretion around the need for medical evidence if an employee is staying at home.

We have upload a letter to our website and ask patients requiring a medical certificate for work relating to covid-19 to download a copy and give it to their employer.

Patients can now get an isolation note online. Please click link and follow instructions: https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note

ONLINE BOOKINGS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED

To mitigate any risk that potentially infected patients booking appointments online and attending the practice when they should be receiving advice to self-isolate or go through testing, all practices are now being advised to change appointments booked online to appointments booked via telephone.

Please be patient with our reception team as the volume of calls has increased significantly.
