Anaphylaxis is a potentially fatal severe allergic reaction Some allergies can lead to a severe allergic reaction – known as anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis can be life-threatening. Symptoms can occur quickly or within hours following contact with an allergen. Prompt treatment can save your life.
