Are you aware as a registered carer, you are eligible for an NHS Health Check. Please contact the Surgery to book your appointment with our available HCA or Nurse. For additional support please visit the Carers First website: www.carersfirst.org.uk

As per the newest government advice Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine programme has started.

The NHS is currently offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people most at risk from coronavirus and we will be contacting patients to book an appointment.

Patient eligible for the vaccine will be offered an appointment in of the local Hub Centres: Bounds Green Group Practice, Gordon Rd, Bounds Green, London N11

Please note there is limited parking available around the Practice and there are parking restrictions between 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Please be aware of the Autumnal weather. Please dress warmly as checking in for the Covid Appointment happens in an Outdoor Marquee. Please bring an umbrella in case of rain.

The machine is located on the ground floor waiting area and provides clear instructions. If you require assistance please ask the reception for help. Once completed, your results will be printed on a ticket. Please hand this to the reception and your records will be updated.

Appointments are now available for all patients registered at any Haringey practice.

Monday to Friday: 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am to 8:00pm

It is our policy to pursue preventative medicine for all patients. The Practice Nurses offer check-ups and will advise on disease prevention.

The surgery is 4 minutes walk from Bounds Green tube station and 10 minutes walk from Bowes Park rail station.

Should you need urgent medical treatment out of hours you should first contact NHS 111. Calls to this number are free from landlines and mobiles.
The service is available 24/7, 365 days a year. You will be assessed, advised and directed to the appropriate local service.

If you have an urgent dental problem outside your regular dentists’ opening hours, you can access out of hours dental services in your area by calling 0208 594 0938. If you do not have a regular NHS dentist, you can contact NHS 111. They can give you details of out-of-hours dental services in your area. Find out more…

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

The aim of the PPG is to work with their practice to provide practical support, to help patients take more responsibility for their own health and to provide strategic input and advice. PPG’s are based on cooperation between the practice staff and patients.

A common criticism of many PPG’s is that they are not representative of the practice population. It is always going to be difficult to get a group that exactly reflects the demographics of our practice, and volunteer roles tend to attract those that have a certain level of confidence and free time, and have flexibility about working and earning money.

We hope to broaden our PPG over the coming months and recruit additional patients to the group. It is expected that the PPG will become more visible and assist the practice with new initiatives and ideas.

We shall endeavour to answer or put into practice your suggestions. If this is not possible, we shall respond to you and provide a reason.

Bounds Green Group Practice is looking to improve communication and how we relay information to patients in an efficient and eco-friendly manner by the use of text messages. In line with the GDPR legislation changes we invite you to opt into this service, we can only offer this service once you have opted in and this is recorded in your medical record.

Please be aware if you decline this service you will no longer receive appointment reminders.

We will contact you for the purpose of appointment reminders, practice news, health promotion, review reminders, requests to repeat test and other information such as test results as agreed by you and your clinician.

This service is not available for patients under the age of 18 .

The surgery does not offer a reply facility to enable a patient to respond directly.

You will need to ensure you update your contact details with the practice if you change address or phone number.

Text messages are generated using a secure facility and no information will be sent that will enable an individual patient to be identified however we urge patients to ensure their mobile phone is password protected.

If you change your mind after opting into the service and no longer wish to receive text messages please complete our Opt Out Form or notify reception for a form
