If you are aware that you are pregnant you will need to make an appointment with the HCA to register your pregnancy with the Practice.
If you are unsure of whether you are pregnant, we can provide a pregnancy test for a nominal fee of £5.
Once you have attended an HCA appointment, please complete a maternity pack. This allows you to refer yourself to your chosen hospital, along with a maternity exemption certificate and Emma’s diary, a complimentary pregnancy booklet.
Once you have given birth, you will need to register the birth within 6-8 weeks or as soon as possible. We will invite you for an appointment with our Baby Clinic Administrator.
Whooping Cough Vaccination
The department of Health advise that all pregnant women between 20-32 weeks have a whooping cough vaccination. When you reach 28 weeks please contact the surgery to make an appointment with the nurse.
